Edmond Perry is GFA's Rising Star

April 17, 2017

Add ImageGardner, MA – GFA’s Vice President/Real Estate Sales Development Officer, Edmond Perry has been selected to receive the Warren Group’s Credit Union Rising Star Award.

This award is presented to individuals who are outstanding business leaders who make a notable impact on their institution or within the banking industry.

Perry started with GFA Federal Credit Union back in October 2007 as Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager.  “During his tenure, Mr. Perry doubled annual loan originations and often exceeded budget expectations at all branches he managed”, stated Tina M. Sbrega, President & CEO. In September 2015 he advanced to the position of AVP/Real Estate Sales Development Officer and shortly after was promoted to Vice President in recognition of his outstanding achievements.

Joan Moran, Senior Vice President/Chief Lending Officer submitted Perry’s nomination to the Warren Group; “Ed has proven success in loan originations, including outbound calling and building relationships with local realtors.  In his new position, Mr. Perry accepted the responsibility of developing our Real Estate Loan Sales division.   Ed devised a sales strategy that allowed the members 24/7 access to him, the ease of doing business and a quick turn-around time.   Ed’s initiative and creativity has played an important part in his key to success.

Over the last year, Ed developed numerous programs and initiatives such as the creation of a Real Estate Sales Division, a realtor outreach program and educational training for all new loan originators.  Ed has worked closely with our branch managers in helping them enhance their sales skills by going on realtor calls, participating in open houses, and even sitting in on a mortgage application to help set them on a path to succeed.    Ed Perry’s dedication and mission to succeed contributed largely to the outstanding organic loan growth the credit union achieved in 2016.

In promoting loan growth and building brand recognition, he successfully participated in many local events including several chamber events, MVOC events, reality fairs, Bank at work programs and the Home Show at the DCU center.  He has gained positive feedback from members such as the following “My dealings with Ed and GFA were remarkable from start to finish.  Ed was kind, supportive, and human which by far was the greatest gift of my experience with him.  It was like talking to a friend, he truly cared and was easy to talk to, very communicative and responsive to emails and phone calls.  Ed and GFA come highly recommended.  He was amazing to deal with and eased what is normally a stressful time for folks.  I cannot say enough good things about Ed”.

Not only is Mr. Perry great at his role at GFA, members love his professional manner and passion for making the mortgage process as quick and painless as possible.
