Digital Engagement Coordinator

Under the direction of the AVP/Marketing Director the ideal candidate will bring social media and digital expertise and experience to the organization and will thrive in a fast-paced, community driven, innovative environment. Assisting in strategy implementation, while collaborating across all departments to ensure that a consistent and effective Credit Unions image is presented across the organization’s public media channels, contributions and volunteerism.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Designs, builds, and maintains the Credit Unions organic social media presence using creative concepts and strategies. Working with the AVP/Marketing Director and Marketing Coordinator on strategies to support and build each social channel to consistently increase engagement and drive conversions while aligning to GFA’s mission and vision.
  • Developing and scheduling monthly content for posting on all designated social media outlets including creative assistance, monitoring online competitor presence's/perceptions, reporting trending topics and other relevant online data. Develops, executes, and reports on marketing campaigns and strategies, including optimization efforts monthly. Obtains the ability to extract and analyze data utilizing database and spreadsheet applications for review.
  • Utilizes social media management tools for tracking/posting online interactions for social media. Maintains a content calendar and records of engagement for annual audits.
  • Works with Marketing Coordinator to manage blog posts and other digital content, and marketing materials for a unified image and voice. Assists Marketing Coordinator for graphic design needs, has a full understanding of requirements per social platform.
  • Works directly with AVP/Marketing Director to manage member/community outreach regarding concerns/complaints.
  • Evaluates emerging technologies on a regular basis to ensure the Credit Union remains relevant in this ever-changing marketing space. Provides thought leadership and perspective for adoption of new processes or channels where appropriate to AVP/Marketing Director.
  • Works directly with AVP/Marketing Director to coordinate and manage the schedule of all community events past and future. Understanding the process of charitable giving through the Credit Union.
  • Participates in organization and community events to increase outreach and foster new business opportunities by developing and executing timely social content.
  • Develops/assist in volunteers’ coordination as well as internal communication and event preparations.
  • Coordinates and attends events, and other outside programs which may require work on weekends, and after hours.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Models and promotes the behaviors of the Credit Union’s core values, and actively works to enhance the member and employee experience throughout the Credit Union.
  • Participates in the Credit Union’s Community/Civic Engagement Program which requires participation in one community event each calendar year.
  • Act as a role model for staff by completing tasks in a timely and accurate manner. Demonstrates a commitment to learning by cross training on other functions as required.
  • Participates, completes and attends mandatory training and/or online assignment for regulatory compliance.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Personal/Professional experience using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIN Preferred.
  • Strong passion for Social Media Management platforms and tools.
  • Proficiency in understanding Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for social media.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively prioritizing and managing several concurrent projects.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong aptitude in collaboration and creativity.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Financial industry experience a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years of marketing experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and possess demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail and accuracy.

Physical Requirements:

  • General Office Environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
