WHAT IS MANAGE MY MONEY (MX)?

Manage My Money (MX) gives you a complete view of your finances in one place. You can connect accounts from other financial institutions, track spending, create budgets, set savings goals, and gain personalized insights to help you make smarter financial decisions, all within your GFA Online and Mobile banking.

WHAT IF I DO NOT RECOGNIZE MY SECURITY QUESTIONS?

If you do not recognize your security questions, DO NOT move forward. Contact the Member Contact Center at 978-632-2542.

WHAT IF I FORGOT MY ONLINE USER ID?

Click on Forgot User ID? on the login page.

WHY SHOULD I NOTIFY GFA ABOUT MY TRAVEL AND HOW DO I SET UP A TRAVEL NOTICE?

When leaving your normal spending area it is good practice to notify us of your travel plans so a note can be made on your account, ensuring your Debit card(s) remain active. Set a travel notice through the My Cards feature in Online and Mobile Banking. Prefer to speak with someone? Contact us and a member of the GFA Team can help you set up the appropriate card settings for your travels.

WHY WAS ONLINE ACCESS TO MY ACCOUNT LOCKED?

In order to protect your personal account information from unauthorized users, we only allow a certain number of failed attempts when entering your User ID, Password and/or security questions. If you have been locked, use the Forgot Password? link on the login page. If you need additional support please contact the Member Contact Center at 978-632-2542.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CURRENT AND AVAILABLE BALANCE?

The available balance displayed on your deposit accounts includes your current balance minus any holds that you may have. Your available balance displayed does not include savings overdraft, unused reserve credit and assigned overdraft privilege limits. The available balance displayed on your loan accounts is the amount of the funds available for your use.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERSON TO PERSON AND BANK TO BANK?

A Person to Person Account Transfer enables you to transfer funds to other individuals with accounts at GFA. A Bank to Bank Transfer enables you to transfer funds from accounts at other financial institutions.

WHY AM I SOMETIMES ASKED TO VERIFY MY IDENTITY?

In some instances, GFA may require an additional level of security. This is meant to act as another level of security for your protection.

HOW DO I CHANGE THE NICKNAME ON AN ACCOUNT?

To change your account nickname click on the Accounts tab, select the account you wish to change the name of, click Details and select Change Account Nickname.

HOW DO I PLACE A STOP PAYMENT ON A CHECK?

Within Online and Mobile Banking click the person icon in the top right of the screen and select the Service Center tab, then click on Stop Payment on a Check. Fill in the required information and click Submit.

HOW DO I PLACE A STOP PAYMENT ON A ELECTRONIC PAYMENT?

Contact us as soon as possible (at least 3 business days) before the payment is scheduled to occur and provide details about the transaction, including the amount, merchant, and payment date. Our team can explain your options and assist you with submitting a stop payment request. Visit a branch or contact us for assistance.

HOW DO I CANCEL A SCHEDULED BILL PAY?

Click Cancel next to the desired transaction or call the Member Contact Center at 978-632-2542.

HOW CAN I FIND THE INTEREST EARNED ON MY ACCOUNT?

Within Online or Mobile Banking click on the Accounts tab, select the account you wish to view the interest earned on and click on Details

HOW DOES GFA PERSON TO PERSON WORK?

This service allows you to transfer funds from your personal GFA checking or savings account to another GFA member’s personal checking or savings account, even if you are not an owner on the receiving account.

HOW DO I SET UP A RECURRING PAYMENT?

GFA loan payments can be scheduled under the Transfer tab within Online or Mobile Banking. Enter the information in form and change the Scheduling option from Immediate (One Time) to Recurring. This allows you to determine the frequency and length of your recurring payment.

WHY DID MY TRANSFER FAIL?

Typically, transfers fail due to insufficient funds in the account you are trying to transfer from. If you find that funds are available, contact our Member Contact Center at 978-632-2542 for assistance.

WHERE CAN I GET LOGIN ASSISTANCE FOR ONLINE AND MOBILE BANKING?

On the login page there are links available to help get back into your account such as Forgot User ID? and Forgot Password?. If you need additional support please contact the Member Contact Center at 978-632-2542.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR ESTATEMENTS?

eStatements are free and available before mailed statements. Sign up today by logging into Online or Mobile Banking, then select the person icon in the upper right corner, click Service Center, click eDocuments, then eStatements. From here you can update your document delivery preferences.

HOW DO I REMOVE AN ACCOUNT FROM MY ONLINE BANKING PROFILE?

Accounts can be removed from your Online and Mobile Banking profile by selecting the Accounts tab and click the Edit Accounts View to hide accounts you wish to remove from view.

HOW DO I DEACTIVATE/REACTIVATE MY DEBIT CARD?

You can disable your card immediately within My Cards. Simply toggle the Card is ON button to off to deactivate the card. If you happen to find your card after you have already deactivated it, you can reactivate it by simply toggling the Card is OFF button back to on.

WHAT IS AN EBILL?

eBills allow your electronic bills to be displayed directly within Bill Pay for convenient viewing and payment.

HOW DO I DELETE A SCHEDULED PAYMENT?

Click on the Transfers tab then Activity. All scheduled transfers will be listed. To delete, simply click the red X on the right of the row you wish to stop.

CAN I UPDATE MY ONLINE USER ID?

Yes. Click on person icon in the top right corner, then My Profile, click Change user ID.

WHEN USING BILL PAY, WHEN WILL THE FUNDS BE WITHDRAWN FROM MY ACCOUNT?

Funds will be withdrawn from your account when the payment is negotiated or received by the payee.

HOW DOES THE BANK TO BANK FEATURE WORK?

Bank to Bank transfers allow you to move money electronically between your GFA accounts and accounts you own at other financial institutions, making it easy to manage your finances from one place. Transfers can be scheduled as one-time or recurring transactions through Online and Mobile Banking.

HOW DO I UPDATE OR CHANGE MY SECURITY QUESTIONS?

Click on person icon in the top right corner, then My Profile, click Change Security Information.

HOW DO I ADD, DELETE, OR EDIT A PAYEE?

Go to the Pay My Bills tab and click Add Biller. To edit or delete a payee, click on the payee name, adjust fields as needed or click Delete Biller.

HOW DO I SET UP REAL TIME ALERTS?

To start receiving Real Time Alerts log into Online or Mobile Banking then select the person icon in the upper right corner, click Service Center, click Manage My Alerts, and My Alters. From here you can select the notifications you wish to receive.

WHAT IF I FORGOT MY PASSWORD?

Click on Forgot Password? on the login page.

IS IT SECURE?

Yes, the Mobile Banking app utilizes best practices from Online Banking, such as HTTPS, 128-bit SSL encryption, registration authentication questions, access with a User ID and Password, security authentication questions, and application time-out when your mobile device is not in use. In addition, no account data is ever stored on your mobile device. In the event your mobile device is lost or stolen, the service can be immediately disabled by contacting our Member Contact Center at 978-632-2542.

HOW MUCH DOES THIS SERVICE COST?

Mobile Banking is free, however, there may be charges associated with text messaging and data usage on your mobile device. Check with your wireless carrier for more information.

DO I NEED TO HAVE ONLINE BANKING TO USE MOBILE BANKING?

You do not need to use Online Banking to take advantage of our Mobile Banking app.

I'M ENROLLED FOR ONLINE BANKING. CAN I USE MY ONLINE BANKING LOGIN CREDENTIALS FOR MOBILE BANKING?

Yes, your User Name and Password are used for both Online and Mobile Banking, there is no separate registration required.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR MOBILE BANKING?

Download the GFA Mobile Banking app for iPhone or Android and login with your Online Banking credentials. If you are not already registered for Online Banking click on the Enroll - Personal or Enroll - Business (depending on the account type you have) and follow the prompts.

DOES GFA HAVE AN APP FOR MY MOBILE DEVICE?

Yes, GFA has custom apps for iPhone and Android devices.

IS MOBILE BANKING SUPPORTED ON MY MOBILE DEVICE?

Our Mobile Banking app is supported on most iPhone and Android devices.

IS MOBILE BANKING AS SECURE AS OTHER ONLINE SERVICES PROVIDED BY GFA?

Mobile Banking offers the same security features and protection as our other online services, including encryption, and security questions. Mobile Banking users are protected by firewall systems and intrusion detection software, encryption of sensitive information that protects information sent over the Internet, internationally recognized security standards and industry best practices, and Profile and Password security.
