As the financial world changes, we evolve with it. Join us and be part of a team building stronger communities and brighter futures, one moment at a time.
The Role + Responsibilities:
GFA Federal Credit Union is looking for a technically skilled and service-oriented individual to join our Information Systems & Technology team as an IT Support Specialist. If you enjoy solving problems, helping others, and working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, this could be a great fit.
As the first point of contact for technical support, you’ll assist employees and vendors with a range of IT needs — from setting up new workstations to resolving hardware and software issues. You’ll play a key role in keeping daily operations running smoothly while contributing to a collaborative team that values innovation and continuous improvement.
- Respond to technical requests submitted via the Help Desk system, serving as the first point of contact for technology-related issues.
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and internal transfers through workstation setup and configuration.
- Administer and maintain systems and applications, including updates, user access, and licensing.
- Monitor backups, evaluate system performance, and provide input on hardware and software enhancements.
- Coordinate and collaborate with vendors and internal teams on technology needs, repairs, and project updates.
- Travel to branch locations as needed to provide in-person and remote support with professionalism and efficiency. Assist with disaster recovery planning, documentation, and IT audits.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend technology purchases that align with organizational goals and budget expectations.
What You’ll Bring:
- Advanced computer skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- An Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar technical support role (experience in financial services is a plus).
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
What Would Make You a Great Fit:
At GFA, we’re more than a financial institution — we’re a community built on shared values, bold ideas, and a deep commitment to people helping people. We believe how we show up matters just as much as what we do. That’s why we seek team members who align with our core values:
- Curious – You enjoy learning, asking questions, and exploring ways to improve processes and experiences.
- Empowered – You take initiative, trust your judgment, and make thoughtful decisions.
- Compassionate – You lead with empathy and kindness, supporting both members and teammates.
- Accountable – You take pride in your work, meet commitments, and hold yourself to a high standard.
- Present – You stay focused, engaged, and attentive — recognizing the importance of each moment.
- Remarkable – You bring creativity, purpose, and passion to everything you do and aim to go above and beyond.
If these values resonate with you, you’ll likely feel right at home here — we’d love to hear from you.
