This position will be assigned to certain locations throughout our Massachusetts and New Hampshire branches; in MA: Gardner, Rutland, Hubbardston, Leominster, Ashburnham, and/or Winchendon and in NH: Keene, Ringe and/or Peterborough. The position level will be determined based on applicant experience and skill. Will be required to float between branches as needed
Responsibilities of Level I and Level II:
- Process financial transactions accurately and support member account needs, including deposits, wires, and account maintenance.
- Enlighten members on our products and services, identifying referral and sales opportunities to support their financial goals.
- Maintain strong product knowledge and uphold daily operational standards, including vault and ATM balancing.
- Ensure compliance with policies, fraud prevention, and risk management practices.
- Deliver exceptional service across all communication channels and contribute to a positive, personalized member experience.
- Model and promote the behaviors of the Credit Union’s core values, actively works to enhance the member and employee experience throughout the Credit Union.
- Participate in the Credit Union’s Community/Civic Engagement Program which requires participation in community events throughout the year.
- Complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner. Demonstrates a commitment to learning by cross-training on other functions as required.
- Participate, complete, and attend mandatory training and/or online assignment for regulatory compliance.
Additional Responsibilities of Level II:
- Open new accounts, including special accounts such as IRA, Trust, POA, Business, and Landlord/Tenant.
- Originate and close consumer loan and home equity applications; refer business loan requests as needed.
- Promote and educate members on GFA products and services to support financial wellness and identify referral opportunities.
- Apply sound judgment in complex transactions, fraud prevention, and policy adherence to protect members and the organization.
Knowledge and Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to learn the core transactional systems efficiently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong member service skills
- Agility to adapt to varying pace of member interaction
Additional Knowledge and Skills for Level II:
- Minimum 2 years’ banking experience or equivalent
- Public Notary preferred or must be able to attain within the first six months of hire date
- NMLS License preferred or must be able to attain within the first six months of hire date
