Loan Servicing Specialist

GFA is looking for an organized and proficient individual to join our lending team.

The Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for assisting members and dealers with all phases of the Credit Union’s consumer lending process, while operating within GFA's established set of policies and procedures. This individual should be knowledgeable in all aspects of consumer loan products, services, problem resolution, and funding.

Pay Range: $20.20 - $28.00
Department: Lending
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Loan Servicing Supervisor

Pay within the range posted will be commensurate with the individual’s experience and qualifications for this role.

Job Duties:

  • Ensures timely responses to all member inquiries.
  • Ensures that all loans are posted to the online system daily. Reconciles and balances closed loans daily, including but not limited to fees collected, loan payoffs and dealer reserves.
  • Processes loan payoffs. Forwards paid loan documentation, titles, and other related information to members in a prompt and timely manner. Release titles from the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
  • Performs maintenance on skip payments, posting errors etc.
  • Prepares Dealer wire for indirect loans.
  • Complete and file UCC forms as well as release forms when loans are paid.
  • Processes monthly charged off loans.
  • Sets up pre-authorizations for automatic loan payments as needed.
  • Reviews loan exception reports and track outstanding items. Attention to detail with regards to compliance and applicable regulations throughout all job functions is critical.
  • Demonstrates the organization’s service commitment in all member interactions, including proactively offering GFA’s products and services.
  • Provides coverage for other lending personnel during absences.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties to meet deadlines
  • COCC and Banking Lending Platforms.
  • Windows and web-based systems, Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • High School diploma or equivalent with two or more years of experience in lending, general banking or equivalent.
