Member Experience Advisor I

At GFA Credit Union our Member Experience Advisors are a vital connection to our members.This role is a strong entry point for a driven, collaborative professional who enjoys working with the public and approaches challenges with a solution-oriented mindset. You will support members with everyday banking needs, build trust and loyalty, and take time to understand each member’s unique goals. You will also help the Credit Union grow by welcoming new members and creating lasting experiences that reflect GFA’s Core Values and commitment to member success throughout every stage of life.

In this role, you will serve as a frontline ambassador by delivering exceptional service, fostering strong relationships, and promoting financial literacy through clear guidance and timely problem resolution. You will help ensure each interaction is accurate, efficient, and personalized, contributing to a seamless experience for every member.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $27.55
Department: Retail
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt - Hourly Paid
Reports To: Branch Manager

Pay within the range posted will be commensurate with the individual’s experience and qualifications for this role.

This position is located at our Peterborough, NH location.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome members and identify needs through active listening
  • Process routine transactions (deposits, withdrawals, cash handling) accurately
  • Explain products and services, and refer solutions aligned to member goals
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and follow fraud-prevention procedures
  • Resolve inquiries and issues promptly across in-person and digital channels
  • Balance cash drawers and maintain accurate transaction records
  • Complete required regulatory and role-based training on time
  • Participate in the GFA’s Community and Civic Engagement program

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Customer service and sales/relationship-building experience in banking or retail
  • Knowledge of banking operations, including cash handling and balancing
  • Basic math skills and comfort with 10-key/data entry
  • Ability to learn and use transaction/account systems
  • Clear communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse members
  • Knowledge of fraud detection and security practices
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
