GFA is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused Retail Operations Coordinator to support operational excellence across our retail branch network. This role serves as a key resource for branch teams, helping ensure procedures, training materials, compliance practices, and day-to-day operations are accurate, consistent, and aligned with GFA policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has strong credit union or banking operations experience, sound judgment, and a passion for supporting both employees and members.

What You'll Do
This position focuses on keeping retail branch operations running smoothly, consistently, and in compliance with established policies and procedures. You’ll work closely with Retail Management and branch teams to support operational questions, review key controls, assist with audits and reporting, and help maintain accurate procedures and resources.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted liaison between Retail Management and branch staff.
- Provide guidance, coaching, training support, and operational assistance to branch teams.
- Help ensure retail procedures, resources, and reference materials remain current, accurate, and compliant.
- Support risk management, fraud prevention, security protocols, regulatory compliance, and quality control efforts.
- Assist with retail branch audits, focused risk assessments, quality control reviews, and monthly branch audit form reviews.
- Monitor operational metrics, review quality control exceptions, and prepare reporting for management.
- Partner with Retail leaders and cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and consistent best practices across branch locations.
- Oversee and manage COCC cases and testing as needed.
- Support cash-handling accuracy by monitoring Teller Cash Difference Reports and working with branch staff and Accounting to resolve differences.
- Conduct quarterly branch visits and provide coaching to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance the member experience.
- Participate in alarm and security response during non-business hours in accordance with GFA protocol.
What We're Looking For
- Three to five years of retail operations and member-facing credit union or banking experience
- Knowledge of financial processes, branch operations, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, sound judgment, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support, coach, and collaborate with branch teams
- High level of confidentiality, accuracy, organization, and time management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, banking, audit, or a related field preferred
- Previous quality control or similar financial industry experience preferred
