GFA Federal Credit Union Sponsors the Gardner Centennial Celebration
GFA Federal Credit Union is proud to be a Chair City sponsor of Gardner’s Centennial Celebration. Gardner has dedicated 2023 to remembering 100 years as a City with numerous community events. These include: a Flashback Dance that was held in April, the Summer Celebration held in July, a Centennial Parade held September 17th, and the Winter Ball on December 30th.
GFA is prominently entwined in the rich history of the city, and has been serving this community since 1938, nearly the beginning of Gardner’s cityhood. The credit union was founded 85 years ago in Linus Allain’s home on Greenwood Street and is now the last homegrown financial institution that is headquartered in Gardner. “We are proud to have grown alongside this city for many years and will continue to build a strong future in Gardner,” said Mark J. Hettinger, GFA Federal Credit Union’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
