As of March 20th, the Ashburnham & Rutland Locations will be Closed Permanently - FAQs

Q. When are these locations closing?
A. The location will close at 12 pm on Friday, March 20, 2026.
Q. Why are these locations closing?
A. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, we serve as stewards of your money, carefully managing resources to ensure they are invested where they matter most. Over the past several years, the way our members choose to bank has changed significantly. Today, 77% of members conduct the majority of their banking digitally through online and mobile services for their everyday financial needs. These closure decisions reflect our responsibility to align resources with how most members choose to do business with GFA today, while continuing to support those who prefer personal assistance through our branches and service channels.
These are not easy decisions and they are necessary to ensure we can continue investing in technology, service enhancements, and future growth opportunities that benefit the entire membership. By making thoughtful adjustments now, we position GFA to remain financially strong, relevant, and capable of meeting members’ needs — both today and in the future. To ensure access and convenience we have:
Extended our main office hours:
9am-5pm Monday-Friday, until 6pm on Thursdays, and 9am-12pm on Saturdays
Increased your mobile deposit daily and monthly limits.
If you need further increases, please contact us.
Added additional bill denominations to these ATMs.
You now have access to $10, $20, and $50 bills.
Q. How can I access my accounts after these locations close?
A. Our ATM will remain available at both locations where members can perform most in-branch services including withdrawing cash, checking your balance, making a deposit, and transferring between accounts.
